Bike Buying Guide
Many of the bikes donated to us are bike shop quality bikes. We often sell these so we can have money to pay for the parts to repair the 2300 kid’s bikes that we give out each year. Bikes can be viewed at any of the work parties or by special appointment. Send us an email with your contact information, and we will try to coordinate an opportunity to view our bikes. Bikes can be in a variety of conditions between being repaired and ready to ride. The more work a bike requires to be road ready, the lower the price will be set.
Check out the bikes we have for sale through ebay. All bikes sold through ebay are shipped febex in a bicycle box. It usually costs about $25 to ship a bike, not bad considering its a big object to send.

Generally the prices of the bikes are set between 30% and 50% of the new price value. Following are the guidelines we use to price the bikes. Exceptions are possible, but you can have an idea of the type of bike you may be able to find. These prices listed in the categories below are designed to give you an idea of possible prices, and individual bikes may be priced outside of these parameters. Pricing is solely at our discretion.

All of the information provided is a generalization and it is designed to give you a starting point as to what type of bike to look for. I hope it is useful. Feel free to stop by and test out a few of the different types of bikes to help you decide what you are most comfortable with.

We occasionally have tandems ($60 to $250), muscle bikes, unicycles ($30 to $60), and adult tricycles ($100). We currently do not have adult tricycles.
